Biography

Christopher Williams

Queensland artist

Christopher Williams is a Head Scenic Artist on many Gold Coast-based national and international films with credits for Aquaman, Thor Ragnarök, Kong Vs Godzilla and more. He is also an accomplished artist specialising in large-scale works.

It is evident that the nature of the artist’s large-scale film work has flowed into his creative artwork. The mediums used in this range are a direct result of his own creation.

The artist has developed a versatile range of paints, which are used on film, and these are incorporated into his works. The alcohol-based, vibrant pigments are 100 per cent Australian-made and owned.  The saturated colours perfectly, and dramatically, embody the nature of Australia’s natural environment.

His current work reflects the vibrant colours and dramatic effects used in many big-budget blockbusters he is credited with producing.

His work is a reflection of the sheer size of film sets. Also, it depicts an affinity with the natural world, drawing inspiration from the oceans, rainforests and beaches of Australia.

“The objective of these paintings is to capture and translate a feeling that belongs to nature but is hopefully conveyed onto large canvases for people to enjoy,” says Christopher.

Christopher currently lives in Brisbane with his wife, two children, two dogs and one cat!
